COAST TO ACQUIRE WATER PIK TECHNO-LOGIES

Shareholders of Water Pik Technologies, a maker of electric toothbrushes and water filtration systems, have approved the company's planned US$380 million purchase by Coast Acquisition Corp. Coast, a joint venture 80% owned by private equity firm Carlyle Group and 20% by Paris-based industrial company Zodiac SA agreed in January to pay US$27.75 cash per share for Water Pik.
