✦ Synopsis

We calculate both dynamical conductivities and magneto-conductivities using Boltzmann equation in a disordered quantum-wire array characterized by strongly anisotropic diffuse Bragg scattering. The dynamical conductivity parallel to the quantum-wire direction decreases more quickly than that in the perpendicular direction, while the field-dependence of the magneto-conductivity is almost isotropic.

We study the magneto-resistance of a V-grooved GaAs quantum-wire ΓΏeld-e ect transistor (QWR-FET) realized by selective growth of metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy. At low temperatures, the magneto-resistance of the wire shows reproducible uctuations resulting from the quantum interference of electron
