โœฆ Synopsis

The intersystem crossing decay constants from the 3Bzu state into the ground state of anthrauxeil~o in a phenzzine crystal have been determined by magnetic resanmae techniques nt lSยฐK both nt hisI_ magnetic field and, by a parameterization procedure, at zzo magnetic fie!d, A comparison of the anthracenetila zero4icld resuIts with those for anthracene-hlo show the effects of deuterium substitution to be largest for the in-plane spin levels of the anthraene triplet state.

A large solvent polarity effect on the rate of singlet to triplet intersystem crossing (ksT) has been observed in the carbenes, diphenylcarbene (DPC) and dicycloheptadienylidene (DCHD)-it is found that both ksT and the energy splitting (A&T) separtaing the singlet and triplet states decrease as the

The interaction of a single electron spin with an external magnetic field is presented. The broadening and shift in the electron spin resonance lineshape is discussed on the basis of classical ensemble theories. Due to a novel frequency stabilization scheme we were able to perform time consuming inv
