Thin films of pure superconducting metals and alloys can be used as rapid response bolometers over a wide temperature range if a small magnetic field is applied. The characteristics of various films are discussed together with a brief consideration of methods of use.

DC and microwave properties of granular superconducting bridges made of YBCO thin films have been investigated experimentally. The resistance of a microbridge increased step-wise at increasing bias. Microwave radiation, with a bandwidth of 300 MHz, has been observed with maximum amplitudes at certai
## Abstract In recent papers [1 to 4] on critical magnetic field of superconducting films the oneβelectron state is treated almost in a βsemiclassicalβ way. Though the motion of electrons in the direction of the film thickness is described by a quantum number __n__ [2], the special features of elec
