โœฆ Synopsis

The magnetic field effect on the intensity of delayed monomer fluorescence is different from the effect on delayed dimer fluorescence. It is concluded that delayed monomer and dimer fluorescence must stem from Wo different types of T-T annihilation process. Pola&ation of the magnetic fieldeffects has been observed.

The magnetic field effect on pyrenefN,N&ethylamline steady-state exciplex fluorescence was found to depend on solvent polarity. It is explained in terms of a model based on macroscopic properties of the system. Potential barriers between radical ion pair state and fluorescent exciplex, E, = 0.18-0.2

Polarization of the fluorescence of pyrimidine in a supersonic jet, and external magnetic field effects thereupon have been observed with excitation at individual rovibronic absorption lines belonging to the O-O band of the So-S, transition. On excitation at the R( 0) line, the decays of the paralle
