The critical current density, J,, is discussed theoretically to explain the exponential dependence of .I, on the flux density, B, given typically by J,rexp( -B/B,( T) ), which has been widely observed for single crystals of high-T, superconductors in an external magnetic field parallel to the crysta

✦ Synopsis
It is shown, within a simple model calculation, that the critical current density of an S/N/S junction in a high paralel magnetic field decays exponentially. The comparison of the theoretical results with experimental data for the Pb/Cd/Pb junction and YBCO films is given.
