The MCD spectra of hexachlorobemede, 1,3,5-t~ichlorobenzene, hexabromobenzene and 1,3,5-triiromobenzene have been measured. For each molecule, the Faraday A term was observed in the region of the \*At& 'Etu transition and thereby the magnetic moment in the \*E tu state was extracted. It appears that
