✦ Synopsis

British textbooks. One paper which makes a suggestion quite new is on page 263 and is written by M. Servelle. He describes his experience in ligating the intestinal lymphatics in arteriosclerotics under the age of 65 years with a view to reducing the lipid condition of the peripheral blood. Although he has done 50 cases the paper is, unfortunately, little more than a preliminary communication. There are no operative details and no long-term follow-up. Presumably when satisfactory evidence can be produced we may eventually hear more of this treatment.
