✦ Synopsis
THIS book is written for the surgeon and it contains important information which will be of great value to him when he has to perform an operation on a haemophiliac patient.
In this country and the United States the registration of haemophiliacs is not required, but it is the law in Sweden.
Today major surgical procedures can be undertaken although the risks are still high, but the co-operation with the haematologists has made a marked difference in the mortality-rate. It is important that the systemic antihaemophilic globulin in the circulation should be at least 30 per cent of normal at the time of the operation.
This book, which contains an extensive bibliography, should be the reference volume for the surgeon.
