β¦ Synopsis
Nonlinear control is applied to road vehicle handing dynamics, and performance is evaluated under conditions where road friction is uncertain and rapidly changing. This is in contrast to earlier control schemes which rely on prescribed or detailed estimation of road friction. Particular attention is devoted to the problem of adapting the reference signals to achieve e!ective and stable control.

The influence of structure modal parameters on the dynamics of an integrated actuator and control surface system is studied in this paper. The control surface is modeled as a uniform thickness plate mounted on a push-pull hydraulic actuator. The transfer function between the command and measurement
