The emission spectra and decay times of E(YsFto doped with Eu3+ or Tb3* have been investigated at different cdncentrations. Their variations are ascribed to energy migration between ions or selfquenching. The influence of temperature has also been studied. A quenching arises although the'temperature of thermal quenching is not reached_
