Spectroscopic Properties of KY 3 F 10 :Er 3+ .
-Using absorption, luminescence, and MCD spectra, a part of the 4f 11 configuration of Er 3+ in the cubic host crystal KY 3 F 10 can be reconstructed. The three mutually perpendicular sites with C 4v symmetry result in three different sets of crystal-field parameters, which can be related to each other by transformation formulae. Although the A Ξ» tp intensity parameters can describe the experimental dipole strengths quite well, the complexity of the KY 3 F 10 :Er 3+ matrix does not allow an accurate simulation of the MCD spectrum. -(HEYDE, K.; BINNEMANS,
