β¦ Synopsis
Total lumΓ―nescence yield of toluene and mesitylene, isoiated in rare-gas matrices, bas been measured as a function of excitation energy in tbe energy range coverΓ―ng the absorption region of both host and guest. Energy transfer from the host to the dopant is apparent. An increase in the luminescente yield is observed at the host exciton state. Luminescente excitation spectrum of pure mesitylene is presented.
