✦ Synopsis
Photoluminescence and electronic resonance Raman scattering studies on overdoped TI2Ba2Cu06 with Tc "-85 and 30 K are reported. Luminescence is shown to be the primary contributor to secondary emission in these materials. A "2A-like" feature at ~ 6kT¢ for 85 K SC, and at ,,¢ 3.5kT¢ for 30 K SC, is observed bclow T¢.

The phonon spectrum of the T12Ba2CuO 6 compound has been investigated by Raman scattering for variations in the T1 and oxygen contents. We observe large changes of the vibrational frequencies and lineshapes of the apical oxygen, O (2), and the oxygen in the double T10 layer, O (3), for a T1 content
We will try to illustrate here that, simply from the geometry of the electron diffraction pattern of an incommensurably modulated structure, conclusive information can be obtained on the real space shape of this modulation. The method applied here is based on the 3 + 1 dimensional description of sym
