In this paper we show that the low-temperature specific heat of a semiconductor with very small gap (such as Hgl -,Cdx Te at x ~ 0.15) rises very rapidly ( ~ B s/2) toward saturation at 89 even at very low temperatures, in a magnetic field sufficiently intense to bring about the onset of nondegenera
