The electronic specific heat C,, was studied at T5 10 K both on La2\_,SrxCu04 samples and on La,\_G!ir,Cu, \_,Zn,O, samples below and above yc at which the superconductivity disappears. In superconducting La,\_$r,CuO, samples, the C,, contains only a T2 component at T<< T, in a x range between 0.14
Measurements of the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity \(\rho(T)\), magnetic susceptibility \(\chi(T)\), and Seebeck coefficient \(S(T)\) have been carried out on the \(n=2,3\), and \(\infty\) members of the homologous lanthanum nickel oxide systems \(\mathrm{La}_{n+1} \mathrm{Ni}_
