✦ Synopsis
An anisotropic magnetic phase transition has been observed in a single crystal film of the GdBa2Cu3Oy compound below 2.3 K. In order to clarify the correlation between transport and magnetism, we have studied the low temperature magnetoresistances on the two superlattice films of Gd0.SPr0.5(or Y0.5)Ba2Cu3Oy. It is found that the length between Gd ions along the c-axis gives a quantitative estimation of the magnetic interaction. We discuss two possible models for the origin of magnetic order of Gd ions.
