✦ Synopsis

In order to control the low-frequency noise by using the luggage-compartment of an experimental cat', an acoustical slit resonator tuned to low frequencies and facing the car cabin, has been realised. The acoustical results achieved by this solution are expressed in terms of insertion loss ( IL ) and interpreted by means of acoustic maps obtained with a scanning data acquisition technique.
