✦ Synopsis

We are making simultaneous measurements of the longitudinal and transverse resonances in fields of the order of 30 gauss in a parallel plate geometry, defined by mylar filmsl00 Izm apart, so that I is well oriented perpendicular to the static magnetic field. Comparison of our measurements with the axial phase frequency relation indicates that the A-phase is definitely axial at 29.3 bars pressure.

We have constructed an experimental chamber permitting simultaneous observation of both the transverse cw-NMR spectrum and the time-of-flight of negative ions from a rotating sample of vortices in 3He. Our measurements in the A-phase confirm that the vortex state, causing the large delay and strong
