✦ Synopsis

We have constructed an experimental chamber permitting simultaneous observation of both the transverse cw-NMR spectrum and the time-of-flight of negative ions from a rotating sample of vortices in 3He. Our measurements in the A-phase confirm that the vortex state, causing the large delay and strong deformation of the ion pulses drifting parallel to the rotation axis, is also responsible for the satellite peak corresponding to continues vortices in the NMR spectrum. Unfortunately, singular vortices, whose distinct ion response was detected earlier, could not be observed in the present setup.

The first experiments on rotating sHe-A1 have been done using pulsed zero sound transmission techniques at several pressures in magnetic fields up to 1 T. Preliminary analysis of our data by a geometrical acoustics method suggests that the vortex cores in sHe-At are larger than in sHe-AZ. This resul

We report pulsed nmr experiments on a 2.6% 10 mK and 1 K. 3He-4He solution at 347 MHz and at temperatures between By analysing the phase of the spin echoes we have determined the spin rotation parameter. The decay of the transverse magnetisation is not consistent with the Leggett-Rice theory.
