We have investigated the magnetic properties of a large group of compounds with the general formula R,Cu,O,, where R stands either for SC, In and Lu, or the heavy rare-earth element from Tb to Yb. All compounds investigated are isostructural and crystallize in the orthorhombic Ho,Cu,O, type of cryst
The I-V characteristics of T12Ba.zCaeCu3Oi0q bulk samples have been measured in magnetic fields (0.07-1.2 T). It is found that at low fields (0.07-0.15 T), The nonlinear I-V curves show scaling behaviors which are consistent with a three dimensional Vortex-Glass phase transition with a dynamic expon
Heat capacity of rare earth cuprates R,Cu,O, (R = Y, Tb-Lu) has been measured in the temperature range from 2.0 to 30 K. Specific heat anomalies corresponding to antiferromagnetic ordering of Cu '\* ions are found. The NCel temperatures vary from TN = 10 K (R = Dy) to TN = 25 K (R = Er). For Yb,Cu,O
