In this issue, the editors have included a tribute to R.M. Peardon Donaghy, M.D., the first Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Microsurgery, the prime predecessor of Microsurgery. In addition, we have republished an article entitled "Microsurgery as an Aid to Middle Cerebral Artery Endarterectomy" written by Julius H. Jacobson, 11, M.D., the second Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Microsurgery, along with colleagues
