The HST/FGFK gene, a member of the fibroblast growth factor gene family and a protooncogene, is localized on chromosomal band I I q I 3. Genes in this region are frequently involved in hematopoietic and solid tumors. Here we show that the HST gene lies telomeric to the BCL / gene, the t( I I ; I4)(q 13;q32) breakpoint, and the FRA / / A rare fragile site.
