Path.) iiidieates that the degenerate cells which he reported were due to damage by pressure on the fresh tissue at the time of diesection, and differ in appearance from the rhromatolyzed cells of typical Nissl degeneration. Fortunately, our dissections were done in the fixative 80 that this complicating factor was avoided.
