Lainey Evans is just your basic seventeen-year-old high school student. Or, she was until she was murdered at a party. Now she's just your basic, everyday dead girl.

Lainey has spent most of her time as a 'newly dead' trying to come to terms with death and the unfairness that comes with watching her killers get to walk free.
