A simple predictive model is presented here to describe the layer inversion behaviour of binary solidÈliquid Ñuidized beds. The model is based on the assumption that the concentrations of the two particle species in the binary bed when normalized with respect to their mono-component counterparts are
## Abstract Liquid‐phase volumetric mass transfer coefficients, __k__~L~a were determined in three‐phase inverse fluidized beds of low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene (PP) spheres fluidized by a countercurrent flow of air and Newtonian (water and glycerol solutions) or non‐Newtonian l
## Abstract An experimental investigation has been conducted on the direct establishment of mass transfer driving forces for the vaporization of __n__‐decane from Celite particles fluidized by air. Ranges of particle sizes and reactor diameters were employed. Concentration profiles of __n__‐decane
