The behavlour of an on-hne post-column reactor system based on the use of Ce(IV) reagent m acidic medmm for the liquid chromatographx amperometnc determmatlon of non-volatde nrtrosammes has been investigated m a two-hne flow mamfold coupled urlth a flow-through voltammetnc detector equipped v&h twm gold electrodes for both mono-and buunperometnc dete&on modes The physical dlspemon coeffi~ents and the tune domam parameters of the current peak responses obtamed by flow mJectlons of both C&II) and mtnte m aqueous and nuxed water-acetomtnle tamers were used to evaluate the performance of the flow reactor elements Mono-and bmmperometnc measurements allowed the determmatlon of the hnear dynarmc ranges, the sensltlvltles and the detection hnuts of mtnte under dtierent expenmental conditions unth respect to the cornpositron of the earner hqmd and the temperature of the reactor system Peak standard devlatlons were calculated and used to predict the effects of band broadening and tadmg induced by the reactor system on the chromatographlc bands
