โฆ Synopsis
T'he sultabfity of Ce(IV) m acldlc medmm as a post-column reagent m the hqmd chromatographlc (LC) amperometnc detenmnatlon of non-volatde mtrosammes was mvestlgated by studymg the Ce(IV)-C&II) couple with a rotatmg disk electrode, whose behavlour approaches the operational condltlons of a "channel-thm-layer" cell with sohd electrodes as frequently used for hqmd chromatographlc detectors The condItIonal kmetlc parameters k"* and P were evaluated at platmum, glassy carbon and gold electrodes Gold was found to be the most smtable matenal The reaction between Ce.QV) and NO; (which 1s the product of the decomposltlon of the mtrosammes m warm acidic solution) was considered The blamperometnc behavlour of the system was studled by varymg the concentration of C&II) m presence of excess of C&V) and also by producing Ce(II1) by reaction between Ce(IV)
