✦ Synopsis

Short chain fatty acid esters of geraniol and citronellol WCR synthesized by lipase-catalyzed transesterification with yields as high as 98% molar conversion. Triacylglycerols were the best substrates and immohili~edCf/nrlitfri tmturcticu lipase, SP435 gave the highest overall yields. The lipases tested successfully accommodated novel acyl donors such as isopropenyl acetate and glycidyl butyrate.
