✦ Synopsis

It is shown that the utility of usual "circular" line source models is highly questionable. A line source model related to arbitrary cross-sections is given and essential differences between the source strength of the "circular" and "non-circular" model are found in the case of fairly flat elliptic fibers.

In this paper the outdoor active noise control of the sound pressure created by an incoherent line source is studied. Such a source is a model for the noise generated by road traffic or by trains and consists of a continuous distribution of uncorrelated point sources. By using this model, the possib

A procedure for the generation of ideal ¨oltage source models whose effecti¨e generator impedances are matched to the transmission lines they dri¨e is presented. These matched source models offer impro¨ement o¨er existing ideal ¨oltage source models for the computation of dri¨ing point impedances. T
