โœฆ Synopsis

Shorter Communications inertial forces is unable to explain the continuous decrease in thickness from the bath to the constant thickness film. Groenveld's viscous withdrawal theory (Re < 1, Ca > 1) does not have this limitation. Experimental results of van Rossum and Groenveld who used methods which prevented back flow are in agreement with the viscous withdrawal theory.

## Abstract The determination of nanometer thick layers of poly(methyl methacrylate) coated on to the surface of poly(ethylene terephthalate) film has been investigated by high resolution pyrolysis gas chromatography without sample pretreatment or modification of the instrumentation used. A good li
