✦ Synopsis
Mass transfer with a heterogeneous chemical reaction of the first order in boundary layer flows of non-Newtonian power-law fluids is investigated. The problem is solved by the method of Laplace transform following the approach suggested by Apelblat [1] [A. Apelblat, Chemical Engineering Journal 19 (1980) 19]. The solution is obtained in a closed analytical form.
