## Abstract A previously reported model for spin–lattice coupling for 4f^7^ electrons, based on the assumption that intraionic interactions are perturbed by relativistic interaction with crystal lattice, is developed. Analytical formula for second‐ and fourth‐order spin‐lattice coefficients are der
