## Abstract In this letter, an efficient multidomain pseudospectral method is implemented to solve leaky waveguides. The exterior subdomains with the evanescent and oscillatory mode shapes, the optical fields are, respectively, expanded by Laguerre‐Gauss functions and Legendre polynomials incorpora
