A series of four cases of surgical excision or vaporization of Peyronie's plaques using the Neod y n i u d a g laser is presented. This technique would appear to decrease the need for grafting procedures with minimal blood loss. It results in straight erections without shortening the penis.

โฆ Synopsis
We present the case of a 67-year-old man with a stenosing leiomyoma of the esophagus, which led to dysphagia. Because of severe concomitant diseases, thoracotomy was not possible in this patient, Endoscopic laser ablation was a fast and successful treatment; more than 2 years have passed without any sign of recurrence.
Under general anesthesia, ablation of tumor was performed in one session by Nd-YAG-laser (mediLas 11, MBB) using a conventional endoscope (Olympus QlO). Laser light was applied by a gascooled light-guide (mediLas) and amounted to 8,900 J. By this, the protruding part of the tumor was completely vaporized. There was no bleeding during the procedure. No antibiotics were given, and drinking was allowed 24 h later. Swallowing was immediately improved, and some days later, restored. Control 4 weeks later showed a n ulcer with necrotic mass, histologically without leiomyoma structures (Fig. 3). Follow-ups over more than 2 years always demonstrated a minimally protruded irregularity of the mucosa but no stricture or recurrence (Fig. 4).
