Tile laser-induced fluorescence spectrum of CuI is re-interpreted. The earlier assignment of the fluorescence doubkts as P-and R-branch limes is correct but the assignment of the singlet series to superposition of P and R limes is incorrect. All observed lines in the tluorescence spectrum are explained in terms of transitions A ' n-X ' c and C 1 Z-X ' >3. Vibrational and rotatIona constants of the upper states are determined.
