A dye laser has been used to excite fluorescence from OH, CN, NH, NO, CH, and C 2 in laboratory premixed flames at atmospheric pressure in connection with an investigation of the chemistry of the nitrogen compounds. OH concentrations were measured independently in a variety of flames by a method inv
