✦ Synopsis

The effect of operational-amplljier nonlinearity on the performance of active-R, active-C, and "partial" active-R jilters is investigated. Theoretical and experimental results show that the amplzjier slew-rate limitation results in a characteristic which slants from the idealjat response of filter transfer functions.

## Active -R filters are designed using intemully compensated operational amplifiers (OA) and resistors only. A one-pole or 6 dB roll ofi model for the PA's is assumed in these designs. This model is adequate for active-RC filters. However, for active-R filters such an assumption leads to serious

In this paper, three topologies of microwa¨e acti¨e recur-si¨e filters are studied. We show how, using a noise wa¨e formalism, the noise factor of filters can be effecti¨ely minimized by using appropriate unbalanced power di¨idersrcombiners and an amplifier. A comparison between the different topolo
