✦ Synopsis

Dynamic sealing

51 (BB)6 was its reinforcement contribution. Although the fibre itself has a high tensile strength, this strength can only be exploited in a gasket when a good attachment to the rubber matrix is achieved.

To improve this, RF 51(BB)6 has been surface modified. Combined with accelerators in the formulation and under curing conditions, the fibre surface of RF 51(BB) 6 reacts and cross-links with the rubber to form a better fibre-matrix network. In addition to the composition of the raw materials, the basic characteristics of each gasket are formed to a significant extent by the manner of processing. For that reason much attention was paid to the mixing and dispersion behaviour of RF 51(BB)6.

When processed according to the general instructions this results in very good opening and dispersion behaviour in dry as well as wet mixes. However, optimal utilization of the processing properties of the fibres can be achieved when taking the type of formulation (rubber power or pre-swoilen rubber), sequence of processing and mixing equipment used into account.

In this paper the influence of domestic hot water (DHW) load profiles with a constant total yearly heat demand is studied for a solar combisystem. Whereas so far simulation studies are usually done with a simplified DHW load profile (e.g. according to prEN 12977), a more realistic profile was genera
