Abstract
In this paper, the advantages of using Lβshaped microstrip feed to excite a rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) by electromagnetic coupling are presented. This feeding technique enhances the bandwidth and gain of the antenna without affecting its size. The experimental results are validated using Fidelity software based on the finiteβdifference timeβdomain (FDTD) method. Β© 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A broadband RMSA with a pair of rectangular slots has been proposed. Its BW is further increased either by increasing the number of pairs of slots or by using a pair of bow-tie slots. The even-mode-equivalent RMSA with a pair of slots, which is a compact RMSA with a single slot, exhibits broader BW
laser (EXFO FLS2600). The transmitted optical power is measured with a powermeter (HP 81532A), working in the 800 -1700-nm range. Both the optical source and detector are connected to a computer by GPIB links. By varying the wavelength of the tunable source laser and measuring the transmitted power,

## Abstract This paper presents a new wideband dielectric resonator (DR) antenna. To enhance the bandwidth, two layers of stacked resonators having the same rotational axis of symmetry are used. At the bottom layer, a smaller cylindrical DR is placed concentrically inside a large annularβring DR, w
## Abstract This paper presents the outcome of the experimental studies performed on Lβstripβfed compact rectangular microstrip antenna. The effect of the feed parameters upon the characteristics of the antenna is studied in detail. The antenna offers an impedance bandwidth of nearly 20% and is sui
