## Abstract Cuprous iodide (CuI) thin films were prepared by a pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique, and the effects of the laser energy and substrate temperature on the structure and optical–electrical properties were investigated by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM)
