✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Experimental kinetic curves of anodic alumina isothermal transformations in the temperature 800–1200Β°C are given. The mechanism of transformation and the structure of transformation intermediate and end products are discussed. One‐half period curves of monotropic isothermal transformation of amorphous anodic alumina in metastable γ‐, δ‐, and stable α‐phases are given.

A quantitative method is presented which utilizes differential scanning calorimetry for the determination of sulfathiazole Form I in the presence of sulfathiazole Form 11. Data are included which demonstrate that the method can be utilized to follow the rate of transformation of Form 1 to Form 11. T

Although enantiotropically related polymorphic transitions are thermodynamically reversible with temperature and pressure, they may be observed as either reversible or irreversible in practical investigations. This behavior may be explained simply by a difference in the energy barrier for the transi
