โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
The kinetics of radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate were investigated in a dioxane solution with cyclohexanone as initiator. It was found that the overall rate of reaction initiated with cyclohexanone (R~p~) is proportional to the concentration of monomer and to the square root of the concentration of the initiator. The effect of temperature on the R~p~ in the temperature range of 65โ95ยฐC was discussed. The Arrhenius activation energy E~a~ estimated for the temperature range of 65โ75ยฐC was 137 kJ mol^โ1^.
