Autotrophic Thiobacillus sp. CHl 1 and heterotrophic Pseudomonas pzrtida CHI 1 were isolated from piggery waste water. Extensive tests, including removal action, removal efficiency, removal capacity, and adaptability to perturbed conditions were conducted on autotrophic and heterotrophic biofilters.
