✦ Synopsis

Autotrophic Thiobacillus sp. CHl 1 and heterotrophic Pseudomonas pzrtida CHI 1 were isolated from piggery waste water. Extensive tests, including removal action, removal efficiency, removal capacity, and adaptability to perturbed conditions were conducted on autotrophic and heterotrophic biofilters. The results clearly demonstrate the application potential of autotrophic and heterotrophic biofilters for the continuous H2.S removal under different perturbed conditions.
