✦ Synopsis
Experimental studies of the growth of granule size in the coating process are conducted in a conic--cylindrical column. The dependence of granule mass distributions on the time for coating of inert particles in a spouted bed is presented. The influence of processing time and technological parameters on the homogeneity of the product is discussed. The overall efficiency of the process is described by an empirical correlational equation. The bed mass increase and the granule diameter are shown to be interrelated with the granulation coefficient. Some methods for describing the kinetics of the granulation process are presented. Similarities and differences for describing the mean mass granule diameter from these are discussed. Modelling procedures are compared. The universal form of the kinetics of the granulation process is given.
