## Abstract Since more information concerning kinetic parameters can be obtained from a nonisothermal reaction, it was selected to investigate the consecutive esterification kinetics of terephthalic acid with 2βethylhexanol in the presence of tetrabutyl titanate catalyst. This is an equilibrium rea

β¦ Synopsis
The reaction of epichlorohydrin with sodium salts of strongly branched carboxylic acids has been studied. This reaction is of importance in making epoxy esters, which are precursors in alkyd resin manufacture.
A reaction scheme is put forward which includes the main reaction and an intinite number of consecutive reactions. It was found that the kinetics could be described with second-order mechanisms and a rate-limiting step in the ring opening of the epoxy group.
On the basis of this scheme, the product composition has been calculated as a function of feed composition and type of reactor.
'0' \ Na+ A+ BLAB t Ring opening at the carbon atom number two would give an ester with a non-saponifiable Cl atom, which was not found in the reaction product.

The peroxyoxalate system undergoes one of the most efficient chemiluminescence reactions and is the only one considered to involve an intermolecular chemically initiated electron exchange luminescence mechanism, with proven high efficiency. Several reactive intermediates have been proposed, which, u
In order to prepare chelating polymers and metalliferous dyes, chemical modification of poly(butylacrylate-co-glycidylmethacrylate) is carried out. The present article refers to the study of this modification using models. Two compounds are chosen, viz. glycidyl isobutyrate which is a model for one
