โฆ Synopsis
Japan strategic management society
The Japan Strategic Management Society (JSMS), the former name of which was the Japan Society for Corporate Planning (JSCP), is a non-proยฎt organization that was established in 1976.
With Dr Igor Ansoff as the honorary president, the directorship shown in the list on the following pages makes it possible for the JSMS to be one of the few globally oriented professional organizations on strategic management in the world. For example, the six non-Japanese directors on the list contribute to the JSMS in terms of their books, articles and presentations, while some Japanese counterparts have made contributions to the Strategic Change journal and International Review of Strategic Management, both of which are under the editorship of Professor David E. Hussey.
A variety of the JSMS activities includes:
. Regular monthly meetings.
. Special study meetings which are usually held when non-Japanese specialists on strategic management visit Tokyo, subject to their availability. In this connection any qualiยฎed specialists visiting Tokyo in the future will be most welcome as guest speakers. A minimum notice period of two months is required.
