✦ Synopsis


L iver transplantation is an increasingly com- mon event outside the university setting. Large tertiary community hospitals are aggressively expanding and including liver transplantation in an effort to provide all-encompassing care for their patients. A transplant program poses administrative, logistical, educational, and financial issues for the hospital and all the supporting departments.
