L iver transplantation is an increasingly com- mon event outside the university setting. Large tertiary community hospitals are aggressively expanding and including liver transplantation in an effort to provide all-encompassing care for their patients. A transplant program poses administrative, logistical, educational, and financial issues for the hospital and all the supporting departments.

In Spain, despite its high rate of cadaveric donation, death while on the liver transplant waiting list is high. For this reason, living liver donation is being encouraged despite of the risk of morbidity for the donor. The objective of this study was to analyze attitudes toward living liver donatio
