Further details of the crystal structure investigations may be obtained from the Fachinformationszentrum Karlsruhe, D-76344 Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen (FRG) on quoting the depository numbers CSD-400302[11] and CSD-400303 [17]. 1171 Crystallographic data for (8)2 (C,,H,,NO,S, M = 287.3): monoclinic, space group P2];c. a = 937.00(1), b = 2047.8(1). c = 810.3(1) pm, =110.81(1)". Data recorded at 263K with an Enraf-Nonius CAD4 diffractometer (Cu,, radiation, E. = 1.54178 A, graphite monochromator); 1694 measured reflections. of which 1494 were independent (R,,, = 0.0694). 1329 with F z 40(F) were considered observed. Solution by direct methods and refinement of F with the Siemens SHELXTL-PLUS (VMS) program package. R = 0.0573, W R = 0.0640 ( w =l/aZ(F)); all non-hydrogen atoms were refined anisotropically, "aromatic" H atoms and N -H were found, the other H atoms were placed at calculated positions. All calculations were conducted on a Micro-VAXII and a VAX 6000-420[12-161. [IS] a) G.
